My sister is in a wonderful group and it is completly free. Most of the time they meet in places that don't cost anything also. Now if oyu are talking about mommy and me groups that meet at baby gymnastics or play groups that meet at a certain child's play area, the YMCA or something like that- they can range in price from reasonable to ridiculous. Unless there are no other options, these are usually not worth it- there are much better things to spend your money on- diapers for instance :D

I wouldn't pay a thing. There are some groups out there that do want money, I feel that they are a crock - and a way for some psychologist to get some extra game.

If you want to join a group that wants payment - think about starting your own. Have it be community-wide, and most women are content with sharing their house for a few hours every month. Just appoint a chairperson to keep track of where everyone must meet, and distribute calendars. Or, have everyone meet at the same place once a month.

If you're talking about a mommy & me type of class... usually about $160 for 10 meetings. I checked one out with a girlfriend.... but didn't find it to be worth the money.
