I know that people aren't that smart enough to create "a fake concept of God". They are not that intelligent, nor capable of making something so elaborate. The Living God, Jesus Christ, and The Holy Spirit have always been and have created you. He exists wether you deny him or not; whether you forsake him or not.

Also things like books are copying concept from God and christianity like "kingdom hearts" not the other way around. It's like people cover the truth with a lie and have so many lies that they say the truth is a lie and you're smart if you listen to the lie.

You really think that the concept of God, Jesus, etc is elaborate?

I'd say it's quite simple. As far as a story goes, it's very simple.

Do you read many fictional books? You can easily find works of fiction that are far more complex than the set of Christian beliefs.

And have you ever learned much about how, say, computers work? The complexity of a computer is quite stunning; and yet, every single bit of it was invented by humans. Computers are, I would say, even more complex than the most complicated human literature. And we have a complete history of how everything in a computer came to be.

I mean, if you try to fit Christian beliefs into the physical context of the universe that we now know, it becomes mind-boggling; the people who came up with the concept of god, however, were quite ignorant of the things we know now. As far as they, too, were concerned, it was a pretty simple matter.

Would you like an example of a human creating a rather strange, and very complex, set of religious beliefs? Read a book called "Dianetics". It was written by L. Ron Hubbard somewhere around 40 or 50 years ago. It's the book upon which the religion of Scientology (which, by the way, has nothing to do with science) is based.

I think you give your fellow man too little credit. I'll admit, most people are pretty dumb. But the rest of us are far more intelligent than you seem to imagine.

Bull. The field of philosiphy is all about constructing elaborate concepts and taking them apart.

L Ron Hubbard was very successful at creating a beleivable relgion. So did Joseph Smith. The Christians have had 2000 creative years to build and rationalize and warp superstitions around reality.

The Bible said in John 1:1 that in the Beginning was the Word and the word was with God and the Word WAS God; God has existed before time and will after time; so NO, as stated in Genesis 1 and 2, God created man; check it out for yourself.

Of course. The concept of a God is very simplistic but the theory of evolution can be complicate. Humans create the gods to explain the things that they can't explain. Do you think intelligent animals like the dolphins or gorillas believe in this "God".

God is just another fake creation by man.

Humanity has created many Gods, for example – Gods of Olympus, Ancient Egypt, Babylon and so on. Most of us are atheists about most Gods humanity has created, except the latest craze, the current God in the Bible. Learned atheists have also rejected this version of a God, but some hard-core believers still hang on, presumably until a better image of God is created by man.

Faith in God seems to be nothing more than humans attempting to run away from reality, an excuse to avoid thinking and evaluating evidence. Faith is just an emotional escape and really just a substitute for opening your eyes to reason.

Believers talk about God creating man in his own image. It’s in the Bible so it’s fact – get a grip, get real. The facts suggest the exact opposite. Man created God in his own image. I’m sure humanity will disregard this God, as they have disregarded all previous Gods, it’s just a matter of time before humanity creates another God that better serves their emotions and image.

There was a documentary on the History channel this afternoon. Egyptian book of the dead, predated christianity by a couple of thousand years. Man created god (the dyslexic created dogs)
Mayan calender said end of the world as we know it in 2012, Dec 21st. Quite interesting, wish I'd taped it

I agree.
You should read Descartes "mediation's"[1]
Descartes demonstrates that a human is a finite and limited creature. Such a limited creature is incapable of coming up with the idea of a "perfect being" -- i.e. GOD. Therefore the idea of God must have been planted by God in human's mind.

That's right man did not create God. None of us are that smart and 2000 years ago they were even less intelligent than we are today. I've always thought this but never but it into words. Thank you!! May God bless you!! :) :) :)

Hmmmm... I see an assertion that was made and not backed up.

So, why exactly are we unable to make God up?

Ok, I'll play it your way and start making assertions with neither reason nor justification.

People do tend to try to put God into a box of their own understanding. And people do tend to make limited things into gods. It can be very confusing,, between all the philosophers and all the religions. But God, the real God, is beyond all comprehension, and it was He who made us.
