Definitely! One of my cats stands on his rear legs while hitting me with his top paws and looks imploringly at me, when I'm cooking. It's startling to be hit in the butt by a cat. (If I'd let him taste my cooking, I bet he'd stop begging for it!!!!)

All cats beg. I ignore mine and he gets the dog in trouble by jumping on his back and scaring him and making him run. Not allowed in the house. I through the dog out and the cat watches then rubs on my legs like I am the good one feed me while he is in trouble. I figured this when I saw what the cat was doing in a mirror! The cat know rings the door bell and runs to the food dish! The dog has watched this and waits by the dish also. So who is the smart one here? and who is trained? ha ha

I had a cat for a very long time growing up and mine did beg. After you finished giving her food, she would come to the table and stare at you. Then, she would jump on the chair next to you and sit and watch and paw at you to please give her some. Her favorites were chicken and bacon. But, she never jumped on the table, which was good.
Man, I miss her.

One of my cats begged for food at our kitchen table (we taught her to do that). We would feed her her food and sometimes our food. But most of my cats that I've had int he past beg for attention more than anything else.

My cat does if I'm eating something he likes, I give him some. It's okay with me that he stares, As long as the cat is keeping it's distance and not pawing at you or in your face I don't see the problem and I don't understand why some people are annoyed by it.

I have three cats . All three beg !!
The kitten "Monkey" is the worst of all . She will eat bread, peas , cauliflower, potatoes, any kind of meat, and most anything you give her .
The big one "Ginger" he is 30 lbs!!! he eats yogurt, ice cream, pizza , and anything you give him.
The old man "Puddy" is the pickiest he mostly just wants to know what the other two are eating

My *Schdough* used to beg everytime we ate...so I got smart & started feeding him at the same time as us. And used a spray bottle too...
Now he eats his own @ the same time & NO MORE begging...
Good Luck
