You better ask before someone else does & he says yes to them. Always be straight forward dont go thru life afraid, you only have one chance to live it, dont choose to do it thru fear & regret. He might say yes or you might go with another great guy. Have fun

firstly, everyone is afraid to ask someone out, thats really common. but since you only met this guy a few days ago, i would give it a little more time before you jump in and ask him to go to homecoming with you. you might bump into him in the hall and strike up a conversation first, ask him how he likes the class you share or something and just chat a bit. if that goes well and you get to where you can easily talk to him, you might tell him you are going after school to get an ice cream or something, whatever you like, and ask if he'd like to go too. or ask if hes online and get his aim or whatnot and just let a relationship grow between you and see how he reacts to you. if he likes you he'll want to talk to you and will seek you out. but if you aren't his type he will probably be polite but not show too much interest. if thats the case, move on, theres more guys out there.

find out if he's on a sports team or a club. ask him about his schedule and what he likes to do. maybe join the same clubs as him and keep talking to him about what you know best. find out what kinda movies he like, and maybe when you feel comfortable enough, invite him to see it with you and ask if it would be okay if it were the two of you. see how it goes from there. if no, he won't say yes to homecoming. this is the safer way to go about this.

Get to know him first. Ask him to hang out or go to the movies. Or if that's too much...ask him about the class (homework, teacher, classmates) and throw things in that comes to mind (celeb news, latest gossip). Act like he's a regular friend.

Get to know him a little better before asking him to homecoming and that way you might be able to tell if he likes you.

So ask him to lunch first! You treat and get to know him. You might not want to go to homecoming with him afterward and it's just lunch! Then again, it could blossom into something very nice. Take a chance.

Try catching his attention, better yet say hello. It won't hurt he can't hate you. Don't seem too desperate. Its a turn off. Act casual. Flirt but not overboard. Don't studder and just get to know him before you go any further.
