Definitely not okay. It actually sounds like he is trying to find something new for himself. With all of the cheating people do today, it is not likely that he plans to break up with you, he just plans to see someone else on the side as well. This is unacceptable behavior and you definitely need to do something about it. After this, you need to think about if you do want to continue this relationship, this may cause serious trust issues for the two of you. Also, he must not think that this relationship is serious enough to remail faithful to you. If you want to stay knowing what hes done, talk to him about it.. If not, get out! Explain to him that you will not put up with this behavior and leave.

Not grounds for a breakup. I'm in the midst of a 5 year relationship and I've joined just to see if there's anybody I know using it, e.g. classmates, old friends, work associates, etc. Some people are just curious about other people.

I don't think it is acceptable behaviour, but it isn't grounds to break up (yet). While there is no proof that he has cheated on you, there is still some ground for him to do so. You need to sit down and talk to him, find out why he feels the need to create accounts on dating websites when he already has someone.
I almost hate to say this, but just with him creating accounts on dating websites, there could be one of two reasons.
1. He could be trying to cheat on you.
2. He could be planning to break up with you, and could be looking for someone else.
Either way, it really isn't a good sign for your relationship.

"acceptable" or "grounds for break up" aren't really the right terms for this. Sounds like he's shopping around for something else, and until he finds it, he'll stay with you. I'd take the initiative and get yourself out of this.

If he has signed up on single sites then to me that means he is looking for a new friend.Quite possibly when he finds her you will be history.I would dump him then I would try to find out the screen names he uses on these single sites and contact him and pretend to be looking for a man.Get him all worked up for nothing.Payback!!!!

He may be cheating, and erasing the files daily. LISTEN THIS IS THE BEST WAY TO FIND OUT IF HE'S LYING. Ask him if he's cheating and if he says anything besides "no" then he's lying. if he says "No, not exactly" or "what are u talking about!" or even "No.....thats not mine" then he's lying. all is needed is a simple "no". this technique works for men and women when it comes to lying.
