I Have passed some homes here in Florida that have 50-100 parrots feeding and they are so beautiful. Is there some special food that I need to put out so they will come?

Throwing out bird seed, parrot seed, friuts and veggies may help. But the birds will have to know you offer food, and finding some to pay attention to you may be hard unless you already see them in your yard sometimes. You can try buying a CD of bird sounds to play if you don't own or want to own a bird, or if you have a bird already, any bird, sit it outside and let it call the wild birds into your yard. I often catch cockatiels and parakeets in my back yard because I keep 4 parakeets outside in an outdoor aviary I have who call them in to me. {:O)

Crumbled stale bread moistened with honey and bits of fresh fruit.
Watch out for the ants! So put the breadcrumb misture in a bowl that is slightly smaller than the one you will put on the bottom, and fill the bottom bowl with water. This will drown all the ants that are coming for a snack, nd the little birds can dine peacefully!

I feed the hoop necked parakeets in Kent. (they had be the comparable variety as you have in Surrey). i've got saved parrots in an aviary for years, so understand a good bit approximately them. The wild ones love peanuts (in shell) strung on string throughout the time of a backyard or balcony. It can provide an exceedingly sturdy close look at them, whilst they get used to feeding there. as quickly as you start up this, please proceed, using fact the birds gets used to understanding the place their nutrition source is. furnish clean water too.

Plant some sunflowers in your yard and also some millet. Also hang some feeders with seed and scatter seed in your yard so they learn that your yard is a good food source. If you feed them, they will come.
