buy her some serious skin care liquid laser and post laser from HSN and a laser pen and find a way to give it to her privately or anonymously. Maybe she can't see good and someone told her its there, and she doesn't know she will get man stubble if she shaves. maybe she got waxed and those are wax burns, aawww. Help her, discreetly. Poor thing!

A lot of women have dark facial hair, young, middle-aged, and old. Most women have it removed, but it sounds like for whatever reasons this woman isn't going about it the best way if she sometimes has razor burn. It's completely natural, though. I'm sure she doesn't like it. It could be hormones, but in most cases it's just a genetic thing. You shouldn't say anything to her, though, because if she's shaving it she already knows she has a problem.

The condition is called HIRSUTISM. It means thick hair in the areas where females normally dont have hair. It is mainly due to imbalance between the male hormones and female hormones. The male hormones are more than the normal limits in these ladies. It is a cosmetic problem. If your colleague doesnt like the hair.... she could resort to any or the hair removal techniques like waxing, threading, plucking, shaving, cream hair removers.
Laser for hair reduction are known to work well... but are expensive. She needs to meet a endocrinologist (doc who specialises in hormones) who would ask for some investigations and see which hormones are abnormal and treat accordingly. Lasers along with hormone therapy would be the best modality of therapy.
What you can do for her ........ Dont make fun of her. Dont make her too conscious of the hair. Be very supportive.

Hirsutism

Hirsutism means growth of hair in women, in a male pattern. Many women grow hair in unwanted places such as upper lip, chin, and abdomen. It looks very unattractive. This problem is known as hirsutism. This runs in many races where most of the women grow more hair. More active male hormones or more sensitivity of hair to normal male hormone levels can also cause hirsutism in women. Your doctor will run lab tests and find out why you have hirsutism. There are many medications to treat hirsutism apart from normal hair removal methods.

There is this lady where I work who has a mustache.

It's like hormones or something. She really should get lazer treatments or at least wax it but ....

All you can do is look the other way and maybe leave her an anonymous note saying...'people have been talking about your facial hair...I heard about this place that does great work....' ....and give her the name of a local treatment place.

It's a lady with two kids and hair on her chin and neck which she apparently sees no reason to remove.

This is probably caused by a horomone imbalance in her body, belive it or not it is common among women. Why, i think it has somethingo do with the presence of testosterone in a female's body, much like some men have overdeveloped breasts because of elevated estrogen levels.

We call them goat hairs. Most older women I know pluck them. Maybe she doesn't have a mirror in her house and can't see them. Sounds like she could use some estrogen replacement if she's not going through menopause yet.

don't make fun of her. that is your future.

it's hormones. it happens to the best of us.

she should shave. it isn't very appealing to have hair on the faces of women but most women over 30 have it. they won't tell you that but they do.

if they don't then they're full of it or they got another good 10 years to wait for it to happen to them.

it can happen after children, again hormons and changes in the body.
