Everyone says that...why is that?

because it sounds good.
most everyone that says this is with someone.
most of the time it comes from people who change partners as much as they change underwear.
But the main reason is that at that time you are not looking and you let your guard down and become yourself. you not trying to impress anyone. people get to know the real you. those are the realtionships that last the longest. When people take the time to get to know the real you they like you not the person you try to be and usually there is no sex to cloud the situation. relationships based on sex will never last.

Because if you are looking and trying too hard, it never seems to happen, but when you just go about your life having fun and not looking at everyone as a potention boy/girlfriend, they seem to find you.

Because you're able to be yourself. The right person is attracted to you when you're not trying to impress anyone with all the stuff you have or know.

because it's true... everytime I take a break and not want to be in a relationship here comes someone that wants to be in one... go figure.
