The devil seems to be blamed for everything that goes wrong, accidents, tsunami etc.We were "created" with an almost uncontrollable lust for sex and easily give in to the flesh (no fault of ours!) like Adam and Eve, yet we blame the devil. Is it the fault of the devil or the fault of god who created it all???

Blaming the Devil is a Cop Out because many do not have the guts to own up to their own misgivings.

Great question. It's because he made us do it. LOL. no but relay we rather blame the devil than ourselves for choosing to fallow his advise. But people forget Satan asks God permission to test us. So he is still just a lackey. Basically I'm saying God created the urges and the way out of fallowing them and we are all tested by the temptations to see if we love God more than we do our own fleshy nature.

For the guy above it is only bad if we do it. If there was no bad how would God know his true followers? Therefore it is all good by reason of purpose.

Because it is always easier to point finger somewhere else (physical form or unseen) than ourselves. It is neither the fault of devil nor the God.

God has given us the ability to make decisions and choose our own path. What we experience in life is the result of our own decision making, and hopefully, if we are wise, we learn through the process and we don't make the same mistake twice. Learning how to control and keep a Balance is one of the most difficult tasks that we have to learn.

The fault logically belongs to the one who created everything knowing ahead of time exactly what would happen.

There are bad things in the world. Since God is all-good, something bad must have created them since God cannot create something Bad. Excepting the fact that God, by definituion, created the creator of the bad things in the first place.

Believers aren't known for logic.

Well we all have free will. But without something tempting us we would never give into sinful temptations. We would never be tempted to sin. The devil and his imps or demons or whatever you would call them get inside our heads a little. They give us ideas and thoughts that make us want to commit a certain sin. Then they get us to start thinking to ourselves stuff lie, "Oh, it won't be that bad. it's only one time. It is just a little sin." And once we think that stuff we start to desire to do whatever sin it is that we are being tempted to commit. And if we give into that desire then we sin. That's how it happens. So without Satan there would be no evil. Without evil there would be no sin. Since there is Satan and there is evil we will always be tempted until the end days when Satan is cast into the lake of fire. So it is up to ourselves to resist and defeat the temptation. If you have like questions or whatever my AIM sn is TheBeatles1012. God bless

People who don't believe in the devil don't blame that particular concept. People look for something easy to blame so that they don't have to look intelligently at the complex issues surrounding a problem (if it truly is a problem).

The devil is the whipping boy. We don't like to accept responsibility so we blame him. He is a much maligned and misunderstood character.

No one likes to think about their own failings, lack of self-control, lies, etc. so they pass the blame onto someone who can't call them out on it. In short, it's the blamers' fault. They chose to commit a wrong act.

You forgot to consider people, and the power of choice that God gave them...Satan uses our flesh to tempt and deceive us, but we can choose to control our impulses. This is why we need God in our lives...He is more powerful than even our addictions and compulsions.

Christians and non-Christians alike are out there taking responsibility for their own actions.

Because the devil is the symbol for evil and bad.
