Honey I'm going through the same thing, only he told my cousin. I think he's just being honest and doesn't want to like cheat but not be cheating because you're not going out, if you catch my drift. Like he doesn't want to have to make a choice between either of you at the moment. I would wait a little bit, let him clear his head. See what happens. Good luck to the both of us.

It means exactly what you've been told. He likes you but doesn't want to hurt you (because he also likes the other girl). I'd just wait it out but don't hold out for him. I would definately date others in the mean time to see if his feelings may change.

I think it means that he likes your friend because unless he told your friend who the girl was he likes your friend i am 100 well 99% sure
