Accept that it's a little nerve-wracking. Although I loved school, I was always nervous the first day. Also, try to make sure you have everything ready the night before--books, bag, lunch, but especially the clothes you will wear the next day. Nothing worse than switching outfits umpteen times when you're already in a rush to get out the door!
Another thing you could do the night before is pick something that you know relaxes you. It might be a nice LONG warm bath with a few scented candles burning in the bathroom, or a dark room with some soft classical music playing, journalling, watching a good comedy or favourtie movie, a hobby? Something you really enjoy.
Good luck!

Comfort before cuteness. I seem to forget this rule all the time, and I'm a 25 year old teacher. I have blisters on my feet to prove it.
Relieve stress by belting out one of your favorite songs in the morning when you're getting ready. I find solace in familiarity when I'm nervous. Don't forget to shake your butt around while you're singing.

Begin with the end in mind and also wear clothes that you feel wearing. That's what I always did on my first day of school. Set goals for yourself. What do you want to achieve over your schoolyear. Good luck to you!

Pack your backpack the night before with what you will need. Notebook, paper, sharpened pencils, etc.
