Go To www.sickcat.com You can speak to Someone, and name Your price. But I would call an emergency Vet Clinic and see what they say. You have limited time here. Hopefully the amount of poison it took to kill the mouse, won't kill the cat, but I wouldn't count on it. Never use poison in the home when You have a pet. I know it may not have been Your Home, or You who put out the Poison, but tell whoever it was, please not to. Use mouse traps, and put them out of the way of the animals. Where You know they can not reach.

I am praying for Your baby

Hurry and God Bless

NO IT ABSOLUTELY CANNOT!!!

I have asked MANY vets in different states about this and they all say that a cat (or other animal) canNOT die or get secondary poisoning from eating a poisoned mouse because the dcon will not kill the mouse until it's been digested and broken down, which happens very quickly. So in order to have any ill effect on another animal it would have to be eaten within minutes after injesting the poison. They say a mouse's stomach is so small that it doesn't take much for them to die. They usually only eat five to ten of the dcon pellets before they start to feel ill and stop eating it and die within 10 minutes of eating it. And this amount is not enough or strong enough to kill a larger animal (such as a cat).

Yes. If your cat has ingested the mouse, he's also ingested the poison. Look on the D-Con container to see if there are directions about what to do in case a human is exposed. Then, if you're certain your cat ate the mouse, call the vet. NOW! Explain the problem and then follow the vet's advice.

A mouse will die before eating enough poison to kill a cat. But it is a possibility.....especially if the cat has a poor immune system or stomach problems. My suggestion is you take it to an animal hospital...NOT A VET.....an ANIMAL HOSIPTAL... that is the best way to save the cat because if it doesnt die it will get extremely sick. I love cats and i've had 4 already so plz save the kitty cat.

Yes. The poison can get into the Cats blood stream and cause the cats blood to be unable to clot.

A mouse will usually die before it can ingest enough poison to kill a cat. However it can make your cat very sick. You will need to see your vet. He will give you vitamin K for your cat.

I would think the cat eating the mouse would kill the mouse so, technically, no.

But... from eating the decon-infected mouse, the cat could certainly die, yeah.

Yep...the poison can kill the cat even if the mouse is dead

of course it can, Remember the cat needs to digest what it eats, therefore it has poison in it already.
