I could spend hours and hours thinking on this one....
I once slipped a fifty dollar bill thru the window of a broke down old car on the side of the road, it had a flat tire.
I didnt stay to watch but I have been broke and hungry before. I imagine the little thrill the cars owner had to have when he/she came back.
Where could I donate the money to provide unexpected help ?
Could I just travel around and give the money where I see its needed ?
I promise not to spend any on myself.

I would want it to go to Paws for a Cause where they train dogs to be seeing eye dogs. Some of these dogs can warn humans of an epileptic seizure they may be about to have, help their master by opening the fridge door, gathering mail off the floor when dropped through a slot, getting the newspaper, etc.

I'd hand it over to the combo Gates-Buffett charities, and let *them* spend it. They're rather knowledgeable in handling money wisely (certainly smarter than I am!) and health care for the world sounds like a nice investment.
Gee, I can't delegate the money-handling?--OK, my alma mater's scholarship fund gets it---with every penny earmarked for nursing training.

The Urban League College Fund, The United Negro College Fund, or some similar scholarship fund. The best thing you can do for a person is to allow them to learn.

I'd hand it out to low income/homeless families. Maybe some from the gulf region. I'd set them up in a fully furnished house with clothes, a car, and money for college or a trade school.

I would give it to a shelter for teen parents. It would help with parenting classes , finding housing and education. When i was 16 i had a daughter- without help from parenting classes i wouldnt have made it- i have a true deep respect for others who help those who dont know how to take care of kids exactly what to do with kids...

The Humane Society. I love animals and they are silent victims.
But also, I would want to probably give it to the Kidney Association because dialysis saved my father's life-extended it for 14 years and I love them for that. So I would definitely give it to them if I had to choose just one. God Bless them.

something for malignant hypertension.
why? cuz i'm dying from it. it's painful and being on way too many drugs and thinking about when i'll die and if it will be quiet and peaceful instead of painful and violent. i'm not the only sufferer... and it's time to fix hypertension of any type instead of just taking a billion meds to just control it unsuccessfully.
the meds are way out of date.
also for cancer, time for innoculations for it instead of pumping people full of cell killing medications just to rid it temporarily or unsuccesfully and killing the patients.
STEM cell research too.
(for the above reasons along with the obvious)

I would give it to either Disabled Veterans of America, or the Humane Society. I suppose people win out, so the Disable Vets will get my money. These true heroes are serving to protect their country and to protect us, and then they end of disabled.
They are very deserving!

I'd give it to the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance. They are working to find a cure for Tuberous Schlerosis, a perfectly horrible genetic disease that causes benign tumors to grow in the heart,. brain, eyes, lungs and kidneys.
