Well, the religious right wingers seem right, God must hate gays. But, then, God also says to kill your neighbor who has messed with your slave. So, let the killing begin?? There is a whole lot of CRAP in the bible, that was written by old me, to control people of their times. It has just been taken out of hand and now a bunch of superstitious weak minds follow it like sheep.
If you take into accoutn all the things this "good book" says, we need to kill a lot more people. Isn't the world a better place without the killing? How about live and let live in peace? Obviously, I'm just a dreamer....
Here's a question for you, in the bible, it says that before he created you in the womb he knew you. It goes on to say that before you were created he knew the time (method maybe? obviously I'm not a student of the toilet book) of your death.
So my question, is why does God cause so many abortions? Since he knows that's how it will end, why would he want to abort a beautiful baby? That's F-d up. That's your God.
Your God, with ol' G Dub Bush leading you all to the "Final Battle".

I'm just sick of reading verses on here that people pick out of the Bible. You have to read the whole chapter folks. You have to understand that the word of God, is not all the word of God. Paul wrote against it several times, yes - but the context, the context is just as important.
I am baffled at the stupidity of some of these so called "Christians." If you're going to preach, you need to get your ducks in a row. I will gladly discredit your rediculous statements based on my knowledge of Greek and Hebrew. It's like other things;
It's a sad fact that the truths of evolution are undeniable and oftentimes, Christians find it difficult to accept that it is possible that evolution is part of the creation process. World religions since the very first civilizations have created their own stories of how the world began, but it is our unfortunate disposiiton to be in such a new country founded on such secular beliefs. If you study world religions previous to Christ, you will be amazed at the stories found within their faith...they will look familiar. The Bible, being translated upon the request of King James brought about a new order of interpretation. As we do today, the laws, social expectations, were translated to fit the need of the time. In the same section that Paul speaks against homosexuality, he also mentions that women she not speak out in church, and many other abominations that nobody wants to discuss. A heterosexual minister with the Episcopal Church presented an awesome sermon breaking down the biblical passages that pertain to homosexuality, by this minister going over the chapter instead of reciting the verses, the bigger picture was seen by the congregation.
There are tribes in Africa where the male must have a wife and a male companion. Native Americans honored homosexuals and looked at them as special healers and/or allowed them to work beside the women in their daily duties. Ancient Rome, the nobles had young man servants who done a little more than served coffee.
Our ignorant culture hides many truths and understandings. You have to ask yourself, why do the most educated folks, especially those of the hard sciences, choose not to believe in God. Things to consider.
I will be glad to forward the sermon fore mentioned if anyone would like to read it. charlesboster@yahoo.com OR if you have a rebuttal against my statement. Let me warn you before I attained my doctorate in Psych., I did attend seminary - I have a sorted past, but I know my business...I can assure you of that.
Kind Regards, CB

GOD DOES NOT HATE GAYS!!!
HE DOES NOT HATE THIEVES!!!
HE DOES NOT HATE SINNERS!!!
BUT HE HATES THE SIN!!!!
-on the contrary, he loves us all.
If you say why are they still here? then you can ask the same question why are any of us still here. By the grace of God thats why.
But Christians shouldn't be bagging out homosexuality, they should treat them as they treat everybody else, but if they come into the church and want to be Christian they have to be cleansed of ALL sin.
Many Christians dislike gays, but the worst sin's are pride, envy, greed, and selfishness. Stress about these sins before we stress about homosexuality. But yes it is a sin and needs to be forsaken, but we have free will. People lie, cheat and steal, but receive far less abuse then the homosexual.
I am in no way condoning homosexuality, i believe it to be wrong, as God has said.
Lev 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

God does not hate people, His love for mankind is so great that he gave his only begotten son, that who ever would exercise faith in him might not be destroyed but receive everlasting life. But he is still going to destroy those who sin and being a practicing homosexual is sinning. True Christians do not hate gays either, we preach the kingdom message to all without bias, but like God, we hate the sin as well.

You make some good points there. If God hated anybody he could just destroy them. but he doesn't hate anybody. He loves everybody soo much that Jesus came to take our punishment and die so that we could be forgiven and live in heaven forever.
But guys having sex with guys, and girls with girls is messed up. God created sexuality, and men and women, to get married and have babies so there could be a new generation.
Now if someone you love is going to do, or is doing , something that is really crazy and messed up,,, you would tell them not to do it because you love them and you don't want them to get hurt or go crazy. If your little brother or sister was going to run out into the street,, wouldn't you yell "STOP!" ? or if they were going to drink toilet water or something messed up,,, you would try to stop them and you certainly would not smile and laugh.
There are some people who call themselves Christian who really don't understand God's Love... I'm sorry that their attitudes and behavior confuse other people about God's love. So, I can understand why you are hollering at them.... in fact,, I'll help you...
HEY! GOD LOVES EVERYBODY! NO MATTER WHAT!

I believe in a higher power, which may or may not be "God". We were created by a higher power and supposedly given free will. To me that means to choose the life we wish. "God" I would say, doesn't hate, for if you are true to yourself, are geniunely kind and compassionate, and lead an honest life, it shouldn't matter what your sexual orientation is. I think it is the "Christians" who hate. Wasn't it man who wrote the Bible ( inspired by "God's word). Weren't those men"sinners"? Man's interpretation sometimes distorts the truth. Who's to say that there is even a "God"? The questions could go on forever.

God loves all human beings. He gave His only Son so that we may have eternal life. The Bible states that the relationship between two people of the same sex is wrong. It also stays that adultery is wrong. It doesn't say anywhere that God hates people who do either. Jesus actually saves an adulterous woman from an angry mob who wanted to stone her. He tells her that He does not judge her guilty and then tells her to sin no more.

I used to be a Christian, but as a transgendered female, but I seriously have my doubts after seeing people like Kim Davis and the entire Republican party say things about people that are simply horrible, thoughtless and demeaning. If their version of Christianity forces them to be such bigots then I really don't want to have anything to do with any religion at all -- right now I just view religion as a social crutch, which people often use for their own reasons like Kim Davis does, to deny other people their "God given" rights...

While I'm not certain there is a God to do any hating, it is a pretty well established fact that a lot of Christians hate gay people. And they are trying to enact into secular law their religious edicts. This insertion of religious rules into secular law is the single most abhorant and frightening thing about religion, and if they succeed, then the country will become a Christian Afghanistan. Gay people and women who have abortions will end up in prison or killed.
