In the old Windows programs, there was a "start-up" menu where I could easily add or delete programs to begin during the boot up period. Microsoft seems to have hidden it, or else I've been to ill-informed to find it.

Thanks to who ever can direct me to the correct file.

You need to run msconfig from the start, run prompt.
Then select the startup tab and untick any programs you do not want to start, but be careful, make sure you know which one you disable, or you might accidently cause the start up to fail.

There should still be a start-up folder in the Menu.

Also run 'MSCONFIG' - that'll have a list of programs that run at startup.

do start up, run, type in "msconfig", select start up and it displays a list of programs that are automatically running, so just click what you want or don't want
