It's the government that will soon rule over the earth.
More to it than what I can write here but it will bring peace and everlasting life to earth. Christ is King of it.
Dan 2:44 And in the days of those kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed, nor shall the sovereignty thereof be left to another people; but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

Mat 24:14 - (From Adam Clarke's Commentary on the Bible)
And this Gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world - But, notwithstanding these persecutions, there should be a universal publication of the glad tidings of the kingdom, for a testimony to all nations. God would have the iniquity of the Jews published every where, before the heavy stroke of his judgments should fall upon them; that all mankind, as it were, might be brought as witnesses against their cruelty and obstinacy in crucifying and rejecting the Lord Jesus.
In all the world, εν ολη Ïη οικοÏ
μενη. Perhaps no more is meant here than the Roman empire; for it is beyond controversy that ÏαÏαν Ïην οικοÏ
μενην, Luk_2:1, means no more than the whole Roman empire: as a decree for taxation or enrolment from Augustus Caesar could have no influence but in the Roman dominions; but see on Luk_2:1 (note). Tacitus informs us, Annal. l. xv., that, as early as the reign of Nero, the Christians were grown so numerous at Rome as to excite the jealousy of the government; and in other parts they were in proportion. However, we are under no necessity to restrain the phrase to the Roman empire, as, previously to the destruction of Jerusalem, the Gospel was not only preached in the lesser Asia, and Greece, and Italy, the greatest theatres of action then in the world; but was likewise propagated as far north as Scythia; as far south as Ethiopia; as far east as Parthia and India; and as far west as Spain and Britain. On this point, Bishop Newton goes on to say, That there is some probability that the Gospel was preached in the British nations by St. Simon the apostle; that there is much greater probability that it was preached here by St. Paul; and that there is an absolute certainty that it was planted here in the times of the apostles, before the destruction of Jerusalem. See his proofs. Dissert. vol. ii. p. 235, 236. edit. 1758. St. Paul himself speaks, Col_1:6, Col_1:23, of the Gospel’s being come into All The World, and preached To Every Creature under heaven. And in his Epistle to the Romans, Rom_10:18, he very elegantly applies to the lights of the Church, what the psalmist said of the lights of heaven. Their sound went into All The Earth, and their words unto the End of the World. What but the wisdom of God could foretell this? and what but the power of God could accomplish it?
Then shall the end come - When this general publication of the Gospel shall have taken place, then a period shall be put to the whole Jewish economy, by the utter destruction of their city and temple.

You've asked an excellent question. A question most Christians themselves don't know, or give an answer based on what their pastor told them in trying to figure out the bible...not what the bible actually says. (You can even see it in some of these answers right here on your answer page! They're all different!)
The gentleman who spoke of Daniel 2:44? Hit it right on the money. The Kingdom of God (also called the Kingdom of Heaven) is a physical, literal, kingdom. Israel was supposed to be where it got started by the King, and it was to spread out afterwards to the WHOLE world, roughly 2000 years ago.
Instead? Israel CRUCIFIED their King on a cross in unbelief. While the King of this heavenly kingdom was on the earth, our Lord Jesus Christ, he said, "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come."
Was Christ talking to all of Israel then? Nope. Most of Israel was in unbelief, looking to kill him. But there was a believing remnant called the "little flock". A multitude of Israelites who recognized who Jesus was.
He wasn't just some "guy" or "Carpenter's Son" like the rest of Israel was saying. He was the Son of God, the Messiah as prophesied, and they knew that this Kingdom spoken of in the days of Daniel.....was at hand! John the baptist said this too!
He spoke this verse to them, saying how "this gospel (good news) of the kingdom (heavenly kingdom of God to be set up on earth at Israel with Christ as King) will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come."
Christ knew he wasn't going to be here when this good news of the Kingdom was fully spread out all over the earth. But there would be someone raised up by his permission TO rule this world in total deceit, slander, violence, lies, etc.....and that's the antichrist....keep reading after Matthew24:14, and you'll see all about the Antichrist, and his rise to power in the temple, and how Christ tells the believing remnant to get outta town a.s.a.p....
....because then, the end will come.
Of course, for us believers today, we're saved by grace through faith in his blood from the crucifixion....he reconciled us completely to God, paying our massive sin debt forever, and making us unblamable, holy, before God.

It's a government that will forever rule over the earth while it's being restored to paradise and there after. It's located in heaven, Christ will rule as king along with 144,000 associate kings who are anointed followers of Christ Jesus. After the thousand year reign of Jesus, he will hand the kingdom back to his Father who will rule for all eternity as the Sovereign of the universe.

The 3 angels message is the last Gospel that is preached throughout the whole world.
Rev 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
Rev 14:7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
Rev 14:8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
Rev 14:9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
Rev 14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
Rev 14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up forever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
The Kingdom of God is a literal Kingdom which will be set up upon this earth. Jesus will take his followers to Heaven and everyone else on earth will be killed by his glory. (that is if the 7 last plagues don't kill em first)
Then after 1000 years they will come back to earth in a huge golden city. Jesus will ressurect all the bad people, then punish them according to their works. When the fire finally finishes burning and every sinful soul is destroyed, Jesus will remake the earth in its former beauty of Eden. And Jesus and his followers will have eternity to look forward to without sin every rising up again.
So before he comes, make sure you allow him to rid your life of ALL sin, or you won't be able to live there.

The kingdom is the state of the fullness of Christ. Heaven is the kingdom, and when the judgement comes to pass, Earth will also become part of the kingdom.
