Relationships would last about two seconds!

Guy thinks... "Wow, I wonder what her mom would look like naked..."

Girl slaps him and that's the end of that.

Of course they would. With that extra sensory power, you can tell what the other person thinks or feels to what you say or do. Then when you know that, you will be able to control yourself in the future from doing or saying the same thing again.

Also, there will be no more room for lies because you can tell whether she is lying or not and with her knowing that you can read her mind, she will no longer lie to you.

And the most important thing is you can search her very own mind for her feelings for you and once you know that she is truly in love with you, you should have no other choice but to give her back the love she deserves from you.

No, in my opinion they won't.
For example, someone is angry over his girlfriend but prefers not to communicate this in a given moment because he feels it might be better to meditate about it, choose the best way to convey his feelings, etc, if the other person just reads his mind it can spoil everything.
People need sometimes to keep off their feelings and thoughts from exposure until they find that it's the time to express them.

Remember, for every reaction there is an equal and opposite reaction. If we could read minds, we could for the most part be able to control our thoughts and what did and did not "get out." So, in essence we would be back to square one. With one advantage, however, we would still have the ability to "open ourselves up to allow others to see our true emotions."

Some may work better.
Some may get worse. Because I am pretty sure people think many negative things about one another.

NOT neccessarily! sure it would make couples understand each other better, but sometimes the bad things can also surface...

i'm not saying couples should have secrets from each other, but sometimes we just need some privacy to ourselves.

Not only no, but hell no! You couldn't keep a secret from anyone. Sometimes you don't want to know what the other one is thinking.
