Less than four years ago my credit score was 760. My wife left and ruined it all for me.
I was secondary on the car that she had repossessed because of her total lack of financial responsiblity. All together I ended up with three derogatory accounts and a present average score of 568. What is the best and quickest way to improve my score. I have always taken pride in paying my bills\ debts in a timely fashion.
Please help and thanks.......

I looked through some of your other questions to see if I could find the state you are in.
The state that it looks like you are in has a statute of limitations (SOL) of 4 years for open accounts (credit cards etc) and 5 years for written accounts.

Unless you are planning on paying the derog's, you might wait until you are either out of SOL or close to it before doing anything about them.

As far as the repo, the repo voids the original contract and falls under the UCC for a SOL of 4 years. That is IF the creditor sent you all of the required notices in a legal and timely manner. The notices you should have received is the intent to repo, the right to redeem and intent to sell and the deficiency letter after the sale. If you received none or only one or two of the letters, the repo deficiency is no longer collectable if it has been more than 2 years since the sale.

I would suggest going to the link I've provided and doiing some reading in the newbie forum and then in the credit forum.
