You need to be feeding him a high quality kitten food, preferably kibble, not can or bag food. Check the ingredient list and make sure that it doesn't include by-products or corn meal. Once you've found a high quality food, switch him over gradually until he is only eating the high quality food. If he is still ravenous, then chances are he has worms, which are feeing off the nutrition in the food and leaving him with very little nutrition for himself. You will need to take him to the vet and have him dewormed. Many vets have free kitten exams.

More than likely the first couple of times the kitten smelled the food and meowed and was given food now its learned when it meows it gets food. People food is not good for your kitten-its Carnivorous and Needs Meat as in kitten food chk contents and only buy the kind that has no Bi products-the junk part of the animal-eyes,beaks,feet and so forth that they grind up into Meal. Also the kitten should only get the amount that's indicated on the Food chart that it should have-too much food can clog arteries and give high cholesterol just like in people. Get some kitten treats instead .Never give your kitty(any animal) real bones for can splinter and pierce intestines. This is not normal behavior but learned behavior-stop feeding it and eventually it'll stop-will take a while for has been taught a bad habit-sure you meant well but not good for the kitten.

Are you feeding him enough at each meal time? Read the label of the food for the recommended feeding amount. He is still growing, remember, so he needs to eat enough. You may also want to make sure he doesn't have worms. Check his feces, is there are rice looking little things in it? If so, he has worms and needs to go to the vet. They will give him a pill and it will take care of the worms. Is everything normal with his bowels, no diarrhea? That can make him hungry too.

He mighg have worms. All kittens are born with worms and must be dewormed as soon as possible. They get thrm from the mother during pregnancy. If the kitten is eating all of the time, then if he does have worms, they are eating all of his food from him as soon as he ingests it. This will explain why he is staying hungry.l Take him to the vet and get him checked out.

I have a kitten who's the same age as yours. She does the exact same thing. Just let him eat because he's still growing. Its normal for them to beg. Mine does it all the time. Just make sure you don't feed him human food or he'll get sick.

Do you give him kitten food? I had a kitten like that. I asked the vet and he put him on a special diet. He said he wasn't getting enough nutrients. And that was on kitten chow. Try a better quality kitten food. And give him dry rather than wet food. good luck.

He could just be in a period of rapid growth and needing all the food he can get. If he seems strong and healthy and does not appear overweight, just feed the boy and let him grow.

He probably has a tapeworm. Next time he poohs, go look at it and if he has one, you will see the little segments moving in his pooh. They look like wiggly rice. Or check under his tail for dried up rice looking things hanging on the hair. These are dead segments. Cats get tapeworms all the time from eating their fleas.
