Date other girls and take your mind off of her. If she put you in the friend zone, it's hard to change her mind about how she feels about you. If you act totally disinterested she'll fight for your attention. When she does, don't fall back into it right away. Wait til she comes to you and professes that she wants to date. If she doesn't, you'll already be going on with your life and start to feel better about it. Maybe the timing is off or she just sees you as a brother. That will suck, but don't torture yourself. You will feel as strongly about someone else again, I promise! Also rent "Just Friends" the movie. It's an great movie about this subject! Good luck, happy hunting:)

Just be friends with her, actually date someone else and see if she comes up again with that "being friends" mess. You'd know for sure if she becomes jealous. lol. But no seriously respect her wishes because sometimes people move too fast because no matter how long you've been friends it doesn't make the transition into dating any easier because being romantic partners is different than being a friend in any case.

No sense rushing her or trying to trap her.
You cannot force a relationship. If her family does not want her on too many dates yet - then she needs to take it slow. Being a good friend is the best thing for a strong relationship. Be her friend. This is good. Be lucky to have her... no pressure.
If there is someone else you want to go out with, I would think about it. Not to hurt her, but to determine a standard for what you like.

Back off for a bit. If she wants to be with you, let her make the next move. Otherwise, take her words for face value, she probably just wants to be friends.

Be her friend and don't push it, it is nice to have friends of the opposite sex to really talk to. If later on she seems to be interested in taking it further, decide how you feel at that time about taking it further.

I think she realized the kissing and petting didn't agree with her and she had second thoughts. Whatever the seconds thoughts are, and it could be personal to her, she decided that she doesn't want to go that direction. You can be friends with her if you honor her desire and don't try to change her. If you try to change her to what you want, I suspect she won't even want to be friends anymore.

maybe she's just not ready. i mean, it's hard for a person to know a friend for 3 years, and then suddenly move to a next level. maybe she's just more comfortable wit being friends.
