Yes, the tradition is still around and still very meaningful.

A lot of black couples still jump the broom. It is added to the wedding ceremony like the unity candle would be added. I've seen some of the brooms that family, friends, and outside vendors make for these events, and they're beautiful! A friend of mine has the broom that her and her husband jumped over hanging proudly in their living room.

No,I don't think so because my sister got married last month and she didn't jump over the broom. However I mean some of them still do it, it all depends what type of wedding it is!!!

Yes people still do. And tho' it seems to be used mostly in African-American weddings, it isn't always the case. It is also an old Celtic tradition.
