My all time favorite is Pirates of the Carribean. If you sit in the very front of Space Mountain it is really fun, too.

I've never been to Disneyland. However as a child went to Disney World its opening year!
By far my favorite ride then was The Haunted Mansion!
The special effects were fantastic, considering the technology available in the late 60's / early 70's.
Besides that, it was cool [temperature] and a good place to rest in the middle of a hot summer day.

I liked Space Mountain its a classic, Splash Mountain is cool too, but it made me so nautious, that last drop was terrible! Disneyland is in Florida, right? I would go in the Fall/Winter, because in the Summer, you probably would get a small heat stroke(stomach ache and nausea) or probably not if you're outside in the Sun a lot unlike me :).

My favorites are California' Screamin' ( NOT Soaring over California/ but thats fun too!) Pirates Of the Caribbean, Indiana Jones and The Hollywood haunted hotel! Disney land was the best experiance of my life!

You ask if I read right? What is the best ride, not what is your favorite ride.
So I would say the Best ride at Disneyland, would have to be the one you enjoy.
Each person has their own idea of what is best or what makes something best.
You be your own person, you make that decision
