First all she is still a puppy and isnt completely housetrained and secondly, dogs like to 'go' on absorbant surfaces. The carpet is more absorbant so she is doing what comes naturally. You just have to work with her a little more to teach her where she is allowed to go. Also watch her for parvo signs since she has been around another dog that has it. It's highly contagious and can be airborne and carried so very easily. I am assuming she is not having loose stools and that may be an indication of parvo infection possibly and she just couldn't hold it...Parvo causes diarrhea in dogs so accidents would be hard to avoid in that case. Good luck with both of your babies!

A dog that is housebroken doesn't need pads or do their business in the house. Your dog is not housebroken.
The dog cannot differentiate between the two surfaces...the carpet and the pad. It's all the same to them. You are expecting your dog to know and understand and reason out the difference. Its a dog, not a child.
At one year old you can still housebreak the dog, however it will be much harder and will require a lot of time and patience on your part. You need to let the dog out more often and stay out with it. Praise it effusively when it does it's business outside.

.what they usually say is.............. Dogs mark there territories. It most likely it potty in that area before it was potty trained. And if it wasn't clean right and the smell is still there that's where it with choose to go. Just like out side how they sniff for a spot. There are many sprays that you can purchase in the pet store for that.

Some dogs do this if left alone - a way to get back at thier owners. I don't know what your situation is, but you may try crating the dog when you leave the house and just giving the dog as much attention as possible - especially when he/she does go in the right spot.

I am sorry, your dog is not potty trained if they are doing this. You need to go back to square one and start over. If you are having trouble, call your vet for tips or information on a local trainer that could come over and give you some good tips.
Good luck!!

First i might take him to the vet to rule out any issues, like a UTI(urinary tract an infection). each and every so often they might have injuries interior the residing house with this situation. it somewhat is extra useful to understand if it particularly is a scientific situation first. to no longer point out that once you circulate into your vet they'll possibly have a lot of information for you. and likewise purchase a kennel for him to retire to once you're away. That way he has a constructive snug place in elementary terms for him & you is basically no longer disillusioned to come again residing house & discover injuries. determine you purchase a sturdy product to freshen up the messes so he won't be as tempted to circulate back needs issues are found out. be certain it particularly is a constructive enzyematic air purifier. sturdy luck.

I await the answers. Our dog poops where she wants then eats it, getting rid of part of the problem. She pees where she wants as well but as that sinks into the carpet, she just sniffs at it and walks away, head in the air proudly.

she is still a puppy. all dogs will do that from time to time.make sure that when she goes poop on your rug you scold her and tell her to potty on her pads then make sure you show them to her so she understands. my dogs do that especially if i feed them and don't let them out right after. try and let her out every 1/2 hr or 1hr. it should help.
