Absolutely! You can scare people off by using that word. You should never use it until you are completely sure that you feel love and not lust or dependence. Use the word only when you are sure the other person feels the same way.

yes, i tcompletely can. you definately don't want to scare someone off, and you want to make sure that you arent just saying it because of lust. when you feel like telling them you love them during normal conversation, your relationship has a strong base, and you feel like you both know eachother really well, then its probably okay to say. you shouldn't let the first time you tell then you love them be during making out or sex or something, because the'res too much risk that you're just saying it in the heat of the moment. love isnt a word to be waved about and said to just anybody.

If it is not based on more than lust or physical attraction yes it can be said too early.
Love is a very important decison not an expression to justify fooling around.

Yes because it could freak out the person. I know that my friend was going ouit with a guy who told her he loved her after 3 weeks. She was totally freaked out and ended up breaking up with him. I think if you love someone after 3 weeks or even 1 month, you don't really know what love is.

Yes'cause one of you may not be ready for a commitment like that just yet 'cause of past relationships so don't say it just yet.
