I want to know how many think the world is coming to an end? Do you think our generation will see the rapture?

This is a world without end.

The world will never come to a end. OK?

Our Generation? Depends on your age.

Is the next 4..5 years possible? Absolutely.

Good Question.

From a statistical and scientific standpoint, no.

From a gut-feeling/religious standpoint, probably not.

Therefore, I don't feel confident that a "rapture" is going to happen anytime soon. Remember, people who lived around 1000 A.D. believed it then, too. Back in the 1950's, the same was being said. In the 90's, we had looney preachers (you know, the ones who have to take a big breath after every 3 seconds of preaching!) talking about "end times" and how all the ills of the world were coming together for a big showdown of Good vs. Evil. Besides, what is evil and what is good, anyway? Sure, the Bible has its standards, but so do other religious beliefs, and so do people who don't hold any religious beliefs whatsoever.

To all the people who are "wrapped up with the rapture": Why not take the same amount of energy that would be put toward this hypothetical thought and instead tell someone that you love them. "Love" is a four-lettered world that speaks more of faith than "fear."

There is absolutely no way of knowing for sure, people have been predicting the second coming of Christ for hundreds of yrs. things happening in the world around us are begining to look very similar to what the Bible talks about as warnings. The Holy Bible says that when The rapture draws very near, the whole world will be fighting against Israel. this is just one of the many things leading to our observation that the rapture will be within our gen. and i can for SURE answer that YES the rapture is coming, we just don't know when, all we know is that God knows all that will happen, when where how everything will happen. so He knows when He will come back, but we have no idea until it is upon us, so always keep your life straight with God, because you never know when your last chance might be. (i don't mean to say this in a way that should make you paranoid, just aware that God is coming, we don't know when and that we should be at the point in our spiritual lives where if He does come back within our generation, we can come face to face with Him and He will smile upon our life. Word to da Father PEACE!!

I believe that our generation will see the rapture. I pray that we can reach everyone with the word of God before the world ends. There are so many innocent people in the world who have not even heard the good news yet.

for as many signs that there are as to why this could be the end of the world, there are many more that are way too far off to call this the beginning of the end. and like people have said before, there is no rapture in the scripture. and even if there were a rapture, before it can happen every soul on earth and every man will have to hear the word of god. the world can't be judged until every man has equal chance to be held accountable. these people who follow different religions in different countries aren't even aware that a man named jesus ever existed nor have they ever even heard the idea behind his teachings. they can't be held accountable if they don't know. there are tribes in jungles that have no idea, they can't be held accountable. how can you be expected to follow and be "reborn" if to you these things don't exist? not because you deny them but just b/c you have no idea. until every man, woman, and child hears the word of the christian god, and has the opportunity to be "reborn" again or turn away, will the world be held accountable and the world as we know it end as such mentioned in revelation.

we're a long ways from that so don't look for it anytime soon.

Yes the world as we know it is coming to an end by the things we experience like war, katrina, earthquakes and other.

But it will still take long to end the world, because the world has not yet fallen to the 9 Kings of evil and the Anti-Christ. Once that happens Jesus will surely come from heaven and defeat this evil craeture. But i doubt any of us on this forum will live to the day that Armageddon and the Anti-Christ come.

no, it's not the end of the world, because even after the rapture, there will be the 1000 year reign of Jesus. it seems very possible that the rapture is near though. one thing for sure, we are one day closer to the end.

The historical Buddha, Gautama Shakyamuni Buddha said, the world would only come into annihilation after the passing of 1000 Buddhas, so far in some Buddhist traditions only 4 have passed.

if revelations can be correct, why not a sutra? :) (( Ok... i am so gonna get flamed for this..<<>> ))
