Would the world end?

I've seen a Chicken get it's head chopped off. The world didn't end, but the body of the chicken was flopping around for about 30 seconds afterward. I remember not wanting to see it, but I just had to see that happen. I was about 13 years old.

No the world would not end but the chickens body would be flopping all over like it was alive after you chop the head off.

Being raised in the country, I have seen it quite a few times.Yes, they do run around without a head.Of course they can't see where they're going,and they often end up under something.
I think Ripley's Believe It Or Not had a headless chicken that lived for months.Apparently when his head was cut off,a tiny portion of his brain was still attached,just enough to keep his body functioning.He was fed through the hole in his neck.

Typically, the body flops around on the ground for about a minute, sometimes it even gets back on it's feet for a moment, with lots of blood squirting everywhere, and then the body dies.
The head just lays there and sorta looks at you with a blank stare.
My grandparents used to kill chickens to eat this way, is how I know. I'm not a satanist or anything. This was 40 years ago.

Well, if the chicken was alive when you chopped it off the body would run around for a bit then fall over... it's very nasty... I grew up on a farm we had to do that allot... No the world wouldn't end...

You would end up a bit messy. The chicken would eventually die. The world, according to the chicken would end.

I know voodoo, the chicken will come back and put you in a trance making you walk into the chicken coop where all the friends of the dead chicken will peck your head off

If so, the world would have ended a long time ago. I doubt you'd be the first to decapitate a chicken.
