Are personal calling cards still in fashion? Are correspondence cards in vogue or is letter stationery more apropos?

I'm so glad to see there are still people out there (besides myself) who haven't given over 100% to email. Letter-writing and cards seems to be a lost art, how sad. Anyway, I've always been fond of linen paper for stationary, simply because it absorbes the ink, preventing it from smudging or smearing. Something that matches your taste, something that people would recognize as "your style" is perfect! I love the concept of the wax sealer (good job to whoever mentioned that above me) I bought one a couple of years ago and, while difficult to navigate at first, it looks beautiful once you figure it out.

Calling cards are wonderful too. Again, I would go with a heavy paper (I think they look nicer, I'm not sure why) and nothing too busy - calling cards are small, right? So it still needs to be readable.

And if people DO call you stuffy, don't listen to them. Good manners are never out of style.

I think calling cards are very classy and show a great sense of style and individuality; personally, I'd go with a high grade paper, preferably with a nice raised design(maybe a little color in the design only) on a linen color background; Check Fonts for an extra special touch; never put your home address on there and give yourself a "title" if you're adventurous like: Princess or Diva or Fashion Maven...who knows....pick one yourself; I'd also go for the personal stationery, but take it a step further by buying the special wax and unique sealer for the back of the envelope! Yeah, baby, class not crass...

I am amazed by your question. I am not aware that anyone uses 'calling cards' or 'correspondence cards'. If you are employed, I suppose a business card would be expected. Otherwise, I believe that your personal stationery would just need to suit your taste. Good for you!

I think it depends on the type of corresponding you are doing it is nice to have a few to choose from. Some fun small cards for dropping friends personal notes and more prefessional stuff reserved for when you need a more formal touch.

All of the above are appropriate if you need to correspond with people who do not have e-mails.

Calling cards are equivalent to business cards of today. You may have personal ones to give to friends and new friends to update them on your current address, phone number/s and e-mails. .

If you are a Lady of the Night, maybe you need personal calling cards. hehe

Really, I think engraved stationary cards are classy for mailing notes.

I would not be offended by receiving a business or personal calling card, in fact it's handier & classier than writing down numbers on scraps of paper or cocktail napkins.

I maintain cards, small size stationery and folded blank cards with nice artwork on the front.

All of it comes in handy from time to time.

Yes, calling cards are great and it is so nice to have them in your purse, you can give them out as friends ask for certain information. Mine include phone #, address, e-mail etc.

I also have my personal stationary made to match.
