Who EVER said we don't believe in anything????
I walk out at night and stare into the broad and infinite expanse of the universe,,billions upon billions of tiny points of light each one a star, planet or galaxy. The universe contains mysteries we will never begin to understand and can barley contemplate now.
I just don't believe there is a giant invisible man in the sky who wants me to go to a fancy building every Sunday and pay 10% of my income in exchange for eternal salvation. Or just a few thousand years ago 1 man built a single ship that held 2 of EVERY land animal on the planet during a planet wide flood that lasted only 40 days and 40 nights.
Why don't Christians pull their heads out of the bible and look at the REAL wonders and mysteries all around them, take part in the exploration of the earth, sky, and sea, help find cures for hunger disease and war. Instead of blindly following 2000 year old doctrine and fairy tales?
P.S. my idea of misery: being forced to feel guilty for being human.

I didn't know that being miserable was a specific trait of athiests.It seems to me there are plenty of "miserable selves" out there, whether atheists or not. I also didn't know that not believing in a deity was a requirement to be allowed to speak.

No. It's not that Atheists do not believe in anything, it's that they don't believe in a divine truth. This assumption is as reasonable as any given faith, and their personal thoughts on the matter should be respected as any religion or spiritual beliefs should be respected.

I guess you don't know what an atheist is. Atheists can be spiritual or part of a religion that doesn't believe in god. Besides, this is a religious dicussion board and not a Christian social board.

No....athiests have the same rights as christians...and we don't convert people, the christians have mission trips to convert perfectly happy ppl. athiests are ppl to and we take more **** than any other religion...we just want to live our lives..i'm 15 and i get discriminated in school just because of my beliefs. i'm constantly being preached to or mocked....thanks to ppl like you i have become an outcast...I'VE COMMITED NO CRIME, I'M EVEN GOING TO JOIN THE PEACE CORPS. AND I DO VOLENTEER WORK. SO WHY AM I EVIL? i'm sorry but i hate intolerance...didn't god say to love thy neighbor? And just because we don't believe in your god doesn't mean we're all depressed..why are you tolerant to other religions but not us.

It's no true that atheists don't believe anything, they only don't believe in God. You are confusing them with Nihilists.

you obviously haven't done any research on atheism.
if you're going to insult anything make sure you've at least spent some time researching it. if not for knowlege then out of respect.
never punch another until you know where it is that's a good place to knock them out.
