I live in stillwater and I'm looking for a male german shepherd puppy that is $200 and under AKC reg in stillwater can you help me in any way?

Stillwater, Ok? I would suggest looking in your local newspapers for ads. Ask a local vet if she/he knows of any german shepherds in your area. Also make sure its a respectable dog breeder, there are many "back yard" breeders that contribute more dog health issues and do more bad then good. In my area, shepherds are around 200 maybe even less. Sometimes i have seen them priced for 300! Also try a german shepherd rescue center. They may have reg. akc shepherds that need a good home. Sometimes breeders have asellout and have thier dogs priced pretty reasonable. Here is a website that might be further help to you.

You can check in the newspaper, you can find German Shepherd puppies there for under $200, but they won't be good quality German Shepherds. The ones in the paper are usually a product of backyard breeding and have not been tested for common Shepherd ailments such as hip dysplasia (very debilitating).
The average price of a well bred, AKC registered, good quality Shepherd is $600-800.
Your best bet for an AKC registered GSD would be to contact local German Shepherd rescue organizations. If you don't mind waiting a while for a puppy (they are pretty rare in rescues) that might be your cheapest option. www.petfinder.com is a great resource to find dogs and puppies in need of adoption.
I found my six month old purebred German Shepherd at a local animal shelter for $75. She has no papers, but you can get papers from the AKC. The AKC won't allow you to breed or show in conformation unless you have papers from the breeder, but if you don't, you can still get registered and show the dog in obedience, tracking, or agility sports.

I paid $200.00 for my AKC reg German Shepard pup. He was selling for $250 but since they lived in the country and we found them they knocked off 50 bucks. Here's the catch. They're in Nokomis, Illinois. I don't know if they ship. i don't know where stillwater is in relation to Nokomis.
He's a good pup. Dad and granddad neg for hip diplesia.

heidelberg breeders in spring texas ship excelent puppies breed for tempermant and the are easy to train ..... they give the most face licks there very good with children
