You don't say how much you weigh Matt. At your age...all you probably need to do is exercise more! You'll be surprised at how easily you will get in shape if you MOVE every day!!

Just eat meat and veggies. No bread, pasta or potatoes. You'll see results after only 4-5 days. Drink lots of water and try to exercise 3-4 times a week. This will really work I promise. Only drink water, no soda or juice. All the sugar and carbohydrates are bad. Try to only eat things that occur in nature. Fruits, veggies and meat. Brush your teeth after each meal. This will let your body know that it is finished eating and will curb your appetite. Have fruit for dessert naturally, not cakes or cookies. You'll really get used to water and will not crave sugery drinks any more. Good luck and stay healthy! No fad diets or anorexia. You're still growing and will grow into your body:)

You should weigh somewhere in the neighborhood of 125 to 140 ... If you are only a little over that, exercise will help you slim down. If you are way over that, you need nutritional guidance and should ask your folks to make an appointment to see a dietitian. Then, you can begin to take off weight in a healthy manner. Once you do that, you will be able to keep it off.

You are 13, your body is trying to become adult like, you will have your pudgy years and then out of the blue your body will be done going through the change that turns your body from a girl into a young lady. So give yourself a break just enjoy being who you are. Your body will become sickly if you attempt to lose weight at a young age.

If you are healthy, you should exercise for at least 60 minutes a day! Also, you should try eating more fruit & veggies and cutting way back on soda pop and sweets! There are no shortcuts to losing weight. You gotta' get moving and eat healthier! Now if I could only take my own advice :o)

U don't need to lose any weight! i am also 5'6 and 13 trust me! just do a little exercise here and there and maybe try not eating fast food for awhile

The best way to lose weight is to exercise! I go to the gym on a regular basis; the more active you are the better chance you have of burning off unnecessary fat.

how much do u weigh? cuz sometimes u mite think ur fat when ur really not! cuz u know due to the media and society. don' tfall into those traps. if u really wanna lose wait, stay away from junk food and exercise.

no more junk food and get some exercise.... you're not done growing and developing, you don't need to diet and go overboard. You're just a kid.... get active and stay away from fast food and junk.
