There are a few things you can look for:
Implantation bleeding can be one of the earliest pregnancy symptoms. About 6-12 days after conception, the embryo implants itself into the uterine wall and some women will experience spotting as well as some cramping.
Swollen or tender breasts is a pregnancy symptom which may begin as early as 1-2 weeks after conception.
The sudden rise of hormones in your body can cause you to have headaches early in pregnancy.

If your breasts feel bigger or sore, there's one clue. That was my first clue, but, of course, i didn't keep track of my period.
If you begin to feel tired all the time, there's another clue.
Aversions or cravings for different foods (i couldn't stand the smell of butterscotch, of all things).
And, of course, there is always buying the more expensive (but worth it!) early response test.

Tender breasts, extreme fatigue, that "feeling" that you're pregnant. All of those could be signs that you're pregnant.
