So there's this guy.... I've really liked him for about a year now. We're pretty good friends, too. A lot of people say that I should ask him out. But last year he knew I liked him, but he never said or did anything about it (he didn't let it affect our friendship either, thankfully!) But if he had interest in me, he would have asked me out, right? (Note: He's not the shy type.) That was almost a year ago though.. so I guess things could have changed, and I doubt that he still knows that I like him because I've had another boyfriend in that time period. So I guess I could have a chance with him now, considering we know each other better by now and all.
But if nothing's happened between us for this long... Should I even keep trying?

seems to me like you haven't really tried. just because he heard you liked him through the grape-vine doesn't mean he should feel comfortable risking the friendship by asking you out. when it comes to dating a friend, people, including guys, usually like to be sure that the feelings are mutual first.

so, take a deep breath, tell him how you feel, and see where it goes from there.

Wow. Smart girl here. See you got to know him first and that really helped. Yes I think you should try and see if he still likes you. Chances are he does. Shoot maybe you should ask him out. If he says no and still likes you as a good friend you've still won cuz you got a great guy friend. Keep trying. I hope it all works out.

Most of time when you have a good friendship, you don't want to ruin it with a relationship. Simply because you more dynamic because there is more pressures, feelings and other stuff.
I would say not to pressure him, because if your friendship is good you don't want to destroy a friendship because of peer pressure.
If he really like you then he would have already make his move.
If it bothers you so much why do not you ask him. He is really honest and open then he would tell you.

What is the worst that can happen? He say he does not like you that way but you will still have your friendship. What do you have to gain??? EVERYTHING!

if u loved him, id keep trying. defiantly go after whatever you want because you deserve it. i get to know him because he could have changed - dont go rite in to asking him - do it casually. like u didnt plan for it
