My girlfriend was in the middle of doing her self a pedicure, she has nice feet, but they stink. Every stroke she'd do with the file would bring up this nasty aroma.
Well seeing that I do give manicures, she had asked me to do her fingernails, and before I started I asked her to wash her hands. That wasn't enough, I started in on her fingernails and it was as if I was letting loose the most raunchiest smell there ever was. As if she was digging somewhere where it would be easy to get "something" caught under the nail....
She is my dearest friend. But she has got some issues with stinking for some odd reason. How would you aproach a dear friend about their smell?

If you are truly her friend then come out and tell her, politely, and one on one. Or you could take her shopping and suggest some new beauty products. Tell her about a great body wash that smells heavenly and she would love it. You could also just put together a basket of soaps, perfume, lotions, etc and give it to her as a "just because" gift. She'll have to use the stuff eventually.

Well, I've never had to tell a friend but i had to tell an employee just last week. Since this isn't the ifrst time this has come up I have found that the best way is just to be direct. Say someting like "there is no easy way to put this, so i'm just going to come out and say it." I'm sure she would rather hear it from you than someone who isn't her friend. After all, wouldn't you want your friend to tell you that you had a booger hanging out of your nose? It's the same thing-just a degree worse. If she just has a problem w/body odor, and some people do, she might try gold bond powder between baths.

Dip her fingers in disinfectant like Dettol for a few minutes before doing them. Ditto the feet.

Well, since she is your friend you need to tell her frankly but in a nice way that her feet stinks like that. There's nothing wrong in telling that to her.It will be a big help for her if you do that.

I agree. Be tactful but honest. You would want a true friend to be so honest with you before you may be embarrassed somewhere else. (but hopefuly no one will need to tell ya, right. Ha ha)

If she is a friend tell her. There may be something in her diet tht is causing this. Tell her you are bringing it up out of concern for her health.
