Big difference in the military and private civilian practice. Go in the Navy to get your education then leave and go into private practice.

Dentist and orths make a good living at least $100,000 but Medical malpractice insurance takes a big chunk out of it. But they still have a good life.

Good luck to you.

Military medical personnel are Officers and make whatever every other Officer in that Paygrade with the same time in service makes, although there may be bonuses available to stay in. But either way, it's a LOT less than the potential you could make in the civilian community.

Keep in mind though, that the Navy generally does NOT train you in these fields, you must already be Board certified to practice, although you may be able to do your Internship in the Service.

Either one is good, but I'd go Air-Force
