I didn't need a scientist to prove to me that air exists, though I suppose if it weren't for scientists, the question might not even have bothered me.
In the same way, I didn't need religion to prove to me that God exists.
Go play Scissors-Paper-Stones till you understand.

I am a Christian and I am not offended by this because it is a very valid question. You have a relationship with him by accepting him into your life and acknowledging him as lord and savior.
He may not be seen but he is felt and there is evidence of him working in my life.
Sorry, this was the best I could do. It's like trying to explain childbirth to a person who has never had a baby. You have to experience it. How do you know love exists if you can't see it?
It's the same kind of thing, it's spiritual.

Can you see the wind ? Can you see the rays from the sun ? No you can`t as they are invisible , but you know they are there , you can feel them !! Just as a Christian cannot see God with sight , we know he is there because we can feel Him in our minds , and in our hearts , and most of all in our souls !!! We talk to God in Prayer and He talks to us in conscience...........By the way , a pet rock is visible !! . In summary , why do you non - believers have such a problem with Christians and our beliefs ? If you choose not to believe that is your business , just as we choose to believe is our business and none of yours` !! The Bible teaches Christians the following......Ephesians 5 : 11 - And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness , but rather reprove them .... Ephesians 2 : 8 - 9 ... For by grace ye are saved though faith; and not of yourselves : it is the gift of God .... Not of works , lest any man should boast .................... God Bless you anyway He see`s necessary..

There are many things that we can not see, touch, smell or sense. Love is one of those things. Yet do you doubt the exiastance of Love? I don;t. I know I love my children and my friends.
If you listen carefully, learn how to go inside yourself, into the silence, You san hear God talk to you, just as sure and just as clearly as you are reading these words.
Faith is knowing the flowers will return and bloom in the spring.
Faith is also knowing that God is there comfirting and watching and lovein his children

He does speak to us. You simply have to listen with an open heart. And His presence is all around us. It's in nature, it's in the laughter of children, it's in a baby's 1st cry. It's that little voice that tells you to take a different route to work, only to find out later that there was an accident you would have gone past, or been in. It's there - some simply choose to disregard it.

Why do you care so much about what the rest of us believe? Personally I do not care if you want to compare God to a pet rock. You are entitled to your opinion. But why all the interest if you do not believe?

People have to use their imagination when they pray. They have to sort out what they THINK God is saying, and then they end up with all sorts of goofy ideas.
I've had people come up to me and say, "I was talking to the Lord this morning and he told me that His will for your life is ...." meaning ... they are putting their ideas into God's words, assuming that they have divine knowledge. For another thing, they aren't minding their own business when they interfere like that!
If you read the information from the site below, it will explain it in more detail. I love the example about the Christian praying about the couch.

"Draw close to God,and He will draw close to you."
James 4:7
In other words-- if we put forth an HONEST effort to get to know God , He will let us see how real, loving, and just He actually is.We build a relationship with Him by reading and applying what we learn from the bible and by praying for His guidance and understanding.
He speaks thru His word the bible and ,though invisible, we "see" Him through his works.Like the wind, though invisible, we "see" God.

The same way you have an internet relationship with someone you can't see and don't know if they are being "real". You talk then you read their answer. I talk to God then read His answer. And I trust what He says in the Bible a lot more than what anyone writes on here!
