Depends on your living situation. I don't think any one breed is worse than another really...it all has to do with the way they are trained.

There is no worst breed - there are good and bad dogs in every breed. A lot of the time the problem is the owners - their total lack of knowledge of the breed, their lack of knowledge about basic dog behaviour, having no clue on how to train, but the dogs always get the blame.

There is no worst breed.
To everyone who said Pitbulls, Shut up. Get educated and for Mekena, you really are ignorant. what the hell is wrong with you, they do not have short tempers, if you knew anything at all you would know that they have great tempers and a high pain tolerance which makes them great with kids because when your child is yanking on your collies ears and it decides to bite the kid the Pitbull won't. I have 3 kids and a Pitbull, My kids ride him, they have bitten him, Yes I said Bitten him and he yelped and ran to his room , had his eyes poked, ears pulled, tail pulled and toys (hard ones) ran into him, He just lays there, and NO he is not the acception, he is the Norm. Those dogs you see on t.v. are most the time from irresponsible owners who could careless, so you all need to get a clue and educate yourself.

There is no "worst breed!"
Each breed has it's own "baggage" some good, some not so good. If you're concerned about a "worst breed" of dog, get a cat.

there is no such thing as 'worst breed'. most dogs like rotwiler n pit bulls get a bad rep because people dont train them well. most dogs, if you train them, they can be really awesome dogs. it also depends on your neighborhood too, cause some dogs might not fit the neighborhood that you're in.
if you're looking for peace and quiet, i wouldnt get small dogs. i would get big dogs like golden retreivers. they're usually quiet and stays by your side

anybody hating on pit bulls are just ignorant and watch the news too mutch. The only reason pit bulls have a bad rep is because people train them to be aggressive. i have two pits with 2 children and 12 nieces and nephews between ages 1 and 12. The only thing you have to worry about is their tails wagging so fast because their happy to see you.

AMEN,Chihuahuas are one of the worst dogs to get. They will not Shut-up! and don't be fooled by there small appearence excpecially if you have children. I have been bitten twice by those nasty things when I was a kid.But beside that aggresive dogs are not born just made(except those tiny dogs)If you get them as puppies and raise them to be polite thats what kind a dog they will be(except shitsu's and chow's they are just born evil).GOOD LUCK

really all depends, on you. match a dog with your personality. if you are hyper get a dog that's hyper jack russell, min pin, wire haired fox terrier. or if you are more laid back get a more relaxed dog golden retriever, rottie, german shepard something big. then again a mixed breed dog form your local shelter is a great choose too

St.Burnards and Great Danes are not advisable if you live in a flat.
