UFC to my knowledge does not, but there are several MMA (mixed martial arts) venues where women fight and put on just as good a fight as men. I would definitely fight. Maybe I will after I get the basics down.

Yeah, I was talking to my hairdresser who was an ex-boxer in Mexico; & he said it's easier for women to compete because there is not that much competition between the #s. Men usually have a lot more because it is regarded as a man's sport. He did train this girl a while back & she fought nationally after he injured his back.
Hmm... But I think he was talking about regular boxing though.
I don't know if there is a UFC event for women.
All I know is if you go to Asia, you can find it more easily there than here. I have heard of American girls winning fights against locals because of the way the've trained.
I've never thought of competing; I haven't been in it long enough to think about it. I just know the basic kicks, knee, elbow blows, & boxing techniques. No takedowns.

There isn't a pro type event for women that I know of. They do allow women to compete in Rough Man competitions (you know the little ones held at local bars). I don't weigh enough to fight (usually the only women who enter are in the HW division so there isn't a competitior in my class), but if they would let me, I would. Why not if I'm getting paid, beats the heck out of going to jail for fighting.

My daugher (who is 12) and I both pracitice martial arts and we follow the UFC. She is always saying she wants to be a UFC fighter. I think she is really serious, but I don't think that is the career path I'd like to see my little girl on!!!!!!!

I asked my instructor that same question last week in class. I don't know about UFC, but Thialand has some serious kickboxing for women. I would fight if they had something like that for us. Don't know how good I would be, but I sure would try it.

using it as a sport lessens the intergrity of it
