It depends on the guy. Intelligent men are usually attracted to intelligent women because both are used to a certain level of discourse. That's why there are sites like DateSmartPeople.com.
On the other hand, men who aren't very bright may be intimidated by smart women, fearing rejection or humiliation.
In general, whenever a woman possess a special quality or talent, it takes a confident man, usually of equal talent, to not feel intimidated.

People are all different. Some men like smart women; some men like dumb women. I happen to adore smart girls, and did when I was a teenager as well.
I remember some years ago, when my daughter was 16, and living in Florida with her extremely abusive mother, she came to Iowa to visit me one summer.
I took her to a Mensa meeting about 35 miles away, and she met some younger adults and spent a lot of time talking to them. On the way home, she was so excited she was jumping around in the seat, and said her brain was buzzing. She wasn't used to using her brain.
When she went home, after a month or two, she said she started answering questions in class, instead of pretending to be dumb.
After a few weeks, a group of kids came to her, and said, "You're smart, you belong with us."
And, she said, "Dad, they are all boys!!!!!!!"

I think a smart girl has the ability to impress a guy depending on the degree of her intelligence, but I don't think they're likely to settle with a girl smarter than them, mostly because it is a huge insult to their beloved pride.

Maybe dumb guys. I'm un-attracted to dumb girls, but I'm a nerd. Most people are about average. They like people like themselves and they have plenty to choose from. Anybody who is too smart or too stupid is shunned.

You know...... when I'm looking at a woman I'm always sizing her up.(i imagine she is with me as well)...
One of my biggest things i look for in a possible wife is a smart woman.
I don't need a DUMB A$$ making poor decisions that cost me money or the safety of our children.
I also appreciate intelligent conversations (you cant get that from knot heads)
And i like to learn from other as well as teach to those who can learn.

Intelligent abusers are attracted to dumb girls.
Smart guys (the ones you want) are attracted to smart girls.
So the only people who don't like you, are the ones who want to make your life miserable.

I think all guys are different.Some like the real pretty girls,some like the real smart girls,some like the girls with a fun personality.i think it depends on the person.each guy is different,with their own preferences.just like us girls have our own preferences,as well.
