Well first of all, is this boy worth losing a friendship? It's like the two of you are fighting over him... that's just going to make him feel like some "macho man" while you two are in competition for him.
If she is your good friend then you should keep her business to yourself and not tell her boyfriend. Why would you want to go out with him after her anyway? That is called "Sloppy Seconds" my dear and so I think you should move on to another guy and let whatever happens with your friend and him happen. If he finds out she cheated then so be-it but don't go snitching on her just because the two of you both like(d) him.

what i would do:
DONT tell him. Dont be the one to tell him, otherwise you will lose his and your friends trust.
Instead make it obvious that his gf is cheating on him.
Act yourself around him and when he is single again, wait for a couple of says then ask him out

Dont cheat or you make no difference from her. Be patient, let him see the picture himself or he might think that you are jealous and posioning. Just be nice, things will normal fall in place.

tell him you like him and then a few days later after you;ve found out if he/she really did cheat on him/her then tell him and then after they break up ask him out.

listen i cant even believe this, your friend cheated on her man. you understand the guy was with her; keep your school girl crush out of it, its not your buisness. you obviously dont understand freindship if you would hook up with your freinds man or ex man. freinds cover for their friends not bust them!! plus if the guy wanted you he would have tried to date you not your friend.
