Well, they aren't really "pointless" because we get at least two points for answering, don't we? ; ) (Someone else has probably seen that pun, but I found it irresistible.)
Okay, now I shall behave...(switching to mom/older sister mode)Ignore them.
The only "pointless" question is the one you don't ask. If you don't ask you won't ever know. Life is a continuing education. (Believe me, I have learned a lot of things I'd never have thought about if it hadn't been for someone else's "pointless" questions.)
Nothing but a person's "greed" inspires them to answer you rudely. (And for a whopping 2 points, there aren't even any prizes.) You don't know them. They don't know you. Don't take it personal. I admit it takes practice.
One thing that helps me is to remember that I don't always behave in the way I ought. That helps me to be gracious with others when they are being twits. ; )
Also, no matter how badly the other person behaves you are responsible for the way YOU behave. They have to live with themselves. Be glad you don't.

Nobody knows you on this site- so try not to take what any one person says- personally. What idiots say- are not worth wasting your time on.

Some people are desperate for points. And then there are some people who abuse yahoo terms and just piss people off for the fun of it. I just hate that.
