I have a daughter that has continuous migraine headaches and there's no medication that is touching them. Plus she has grand mal seizures. My daughter is 24 soon to be 25 yrs. old. She's a type 1 diabetic, juvenile onset diabetes the doctors call it. No one knows what's causing the seizures at all. Last night at the emergency rm. she had seizures and it scared a PA who knows my daughter. They admitted her in to the hospital.

I have a migrane sometimes. Not often though, during period or after some big stress. Its not usually so bad that I need to lay down, so I dont use any medicine and it passes in few hours itself. But I know some things that also can cause it. Some type of food, chokolate, cofee, hard for digestion food, some problems with digestion. Lack or overabundance of sleep and lack of physical activity. Lack of being on fresh air. Stresses. Changings of weather, changings of place of living, changes of pattern. It can be a side effect of other medicine you use such as birth control or any others. What you can do is trying to keep more healthy diet and life style, in case if your migrane is not very strong you can go for a walk on fresh air. Everyday walks helps a lot to prevent it. If its so bad you cant walk use some traditional things- wet cold towel on your head, no noises around and mb some aspirin, also can be used solpadeine, its a good pain killer, but I would not recommend to use it often-it can cause some addiction. And I dont know if it needs a recipe in your country. And be sure there is enough fresh air in your room.

Know a great Head & Neurological place in Michigan. Is that too far away> Endocrinologist is who she should too - for the diabetes - her sugars may be too high or too low.
