No the child should not be punished, but protected. The parents should call the teacher and get things out so their child doesn't become bullied.

Absolutely not! The school needs to be notified so that this child can be protected. The child stealing the money needs discipline and guidance, not punishment.

No way! If that happened the kid would be being bullied by 2 people---- the one who took the money and the so-called parent who's job it is to love and protect his or her child

They should never be punished for that. Chances are, if they let the bully take their money they had little choice in the matter. Plus these days if you tell the kid to stand up for himself and he hits the bully, the little bastard's parents will be all over you with lawsuits.

This is age old. The parent wants the child to fear them more than the bully. That's the well-meaning behind it.
I don't agree that this is the best way to handle it.

NO! What a way to make your child feel more like crap ...bullied at school and bullied at home .. great ... they need to listen to the Pearl Jam song Jeremy or maybe read up on Columbine ...

i don't think so but i do think the parents should go to the school and let the school officials know what is happening so they can contact this child's parents and you all get to the bottom of this

no, the bully needs to be reported to the teacher or principal and if that does not work then call the prosecuting attorney about the "no bully" law in schools
