most county's have a leash law. you should always keep your pet on a leash for his own protection. you never know what can happen. and for your own protection with larger dogs, a leash is best.

most every county has a lesh law and local law enforcements
should be able to answer this question. A lesh protects you and your dog from harm, so consider using one for safety reason
