Would someone describe the difference between a friendly hug and an attracted, "wants to be more than friends" hug from a guy friend? Does the location of his arms (around the waist or shoulders) change the meaning? How about where he places his head?

Okay.
A friend hug is that kind of hug where you don't feel anything. It's like.. just a hug. It doesn't mean anything to you or make you think anything. The guy would hug you with his arms like, where your shoulders are but the hug isn't an embrace. I can't really explain it. But your hand goes kinda near his back, but your hands don't lock together. I don't know, a friendly hug is just a regular hug. Nothing personal.
The other hug is that kinda hug where he TOTALLY just grabs you, embraces you.. gives you that tingly feeling inside :) Your arms are entangled around his neck.. his hands are at your waist, holding you tightly and never wanting to let you go. Yeah..
I think his head should be like on your shoulder, looking down? I hope you get what I mean LOL.
SORRY! Hopeless romantic speaking.
But seriously.. I think a hug is a hug. Hugs come in all different styles and they give off different meanings.

I would judge it..but how close you guys are..If most of your body..is touching..and no body died..and no ones upset..thats more than a friend thing..and usually their hands are around the waist or hips..and you can just tell by the way hes holding you..and how you feel in his arms...
