He is alway really nice to me, tries to help me with everything, and doesnt behave that way to other girls.. I know he is single, and recently I started liking him alot.
How can I get him to ask me out? I am this horribly shy person by the way.

what good is having feelings if you can't express them. just lightly tell him your interested. maybe things are flying past his head, or just make the move if you want. dont wait because life is a limited time offer.

I am very like the guy who won't ask you out even though you feel he is interested. It is easy for a woman to ask me out because if I am not interested I will say so in a very polite and considerate manner and in such a way as to make the girl feel good about her self. When I ask a girl out I have often found that if the answer is no that many women are rude and ignorant and take sadistic pleasure in putting me down and this even happens after a woman has actually given me very clear come on signals, it's called prick teasing and it is very common. Many women give signals that suggest a come on and actually mean a come on, other women give the very same signals but mean something quite different. Some women use body language that says yes when they mean no, other women say no when they mean yes, some give yes and no signal at the same time or alternately and still others don't even know themselves what they want. Us guys don't know where the hell we stand sometimes and so we don't bother.
It is also true that men often do not understand women's signals because they are too subtle. I know from my own experience in retrospect that there have been many times when a woman has shown interest in me and three weeks later when it is too late I have thought "She was interested" We can be quite dumb in some ways.

Maybe the way he acts around you is just how he is.. he might not like the other girls? Nevermind, let's be hopeful :) Be the bigger person and ask the guy out! Girls with confidence turn on guys, I know from experience hahaha. Since you pointed out that you're shy.. get to know him even more, talk to him. Try to drop little hints here and there so he'll figure out that yeah, you like him. He can't be that dumb hahaha. Sooner or later, you guys will be together! You just gotta let him know somehow! However you do it, it'll make yourself feel great. Trust me. There's nothing like accomplishing something that scares you in the first place.

SO IS HE only you girls have it sooooo much more easy asking guys out as usually not rejected in a really nasty way and guys dont stop being your friends ot turning frinds against you for asking them out.

Possibly something sporting. Maybe go cinema and nuzzle into him and let him know that its ok to put his arm around you.... if you he does and you nuzzle into him to indicate you like to he may move to kiss you or maybe touch you boob... This is his way of testing you to see if you bite... if you are cool and nuzzle into him or move nose to his that shouldstart the kissing then if you kiss him back and put your arms around him you esablish its cool to start bonding and he should relax.
Extra bit if a scarey movie then you can act all scared and need to be held tight so feel safe...
Thats the girlie version of him trying to find and excue to touch you up.
or maybe trip and have a sore spot he could rub better... and keep rubbing elsewhere...

ASK HIM OUTOr say if he would liek to come with you and mates ie not so much a date... only for some respon the mates did not turn up or had to go ... how conveininet...
Maybe polt such a scam with his mates too.

Where is it writ en that women can't make the first move. Ask him out fora drink as a mate but stress it would b nice to chat about something you're worried about that's playing on your mind. Ask if he likes you more than friends or wait till he brings it up but what ever you do try to get him on his own but somewhere you'll feel safe and good luck. Besides someones got to make the first move go for it.

Are u sure that this being nice is not just his personality, that's how we are at times and ladies tend to get the wrong impression. It cud b that he is still checking out what type of person u really are as well, so give it time and don't play games !! by the way how old are you ??

I recently asked a very similar question. I don't know why guys show that they are obviously interested but will not ask you out. The answers I got ranged from he just wants to get some, to he is gay, or he is cheap. None of those really make me want to date him if you know what I mean. But nonetheless, perhaps he is shy and not sure of how you feel. Just give him the signal that you are interested. The rest is in his hands.

you should talk to him about it-i've always been a believer in that either sexes should make the first move-also have you hinted to him you liked him? alot of times guys wont go for a girl unless they have some reasonable idea she's into him

You can almost cut the tension with a dull butter knife.... Go out on a limb and ask him if he wants to go to lunch. He sounds almost as shy and its worth the risk. Hope this helps and go get him!!

Ask him to go to movies with you and dress really nice and do the looking into his eyes stuff that you girls are so good at.
