Real Estate
Condos average from $300,000 - $600,000. I have seen some condos for $150,000 - $300,000 but in worse areas or they are something called "co-ops which I am not exactly sure what that is. HOA fees for condos range from $150-500 depending.
Houses also average from $450,000 - $800,000 depending on the neighborhood. In more ghetto areas houses are $300,000-450,000 (or it's a smaller or run-down house). Use www.craigslist.org and www.ziprealty.com to find housing.
Bills
Are suposed to be a little higher than average but I'm not really sure

California is really expensive. In southern part of California to live in a 1 bedroom apartment in a nice neighborhood is over 1000 dollars. To live in a one bedroom apartment is about 700. Gas is over 3 dollars. To ride the city bus is also expensive. Food is also expensive.

Well according to your financial status it may be. Housing and apartments are really unbelievable. not worth it. Food is not too bad in restaurants, but can be expensive. Apartments run in good neighborhoods between $800 to say $1400 for one person. IF you pick LA itself prices are higher. Food markets have many discounts. At the same time wages are higher. I personally would not consider moving there unless you have a good paying job offered. I previously lived in LA for 22 years and would not move back.

Yes, it's more expensive than ever
It wasn't too bad 10 to 15 years ago, but now everyone is so greedy, they do anything to get money.
food, housing, almost everything is way out of control.

Yep... unless you're in an 'unwanted' place in California. I don't know where that would be, but there probably is a place like that.
