Hello Lucky you !

This is a simple, basic yellow cake; you can't mess it up !

1. 3 cups all purpose flour
2. 2 cups sugar
3. 1/2 tsp salt ( sometimes I do without it )
4. 1 tbs baking powder
5. 4 medium eggs
6. 1 cup milk
7. 1 cup butter ( 2 sticks )
8. 2 tsps vanilla ( sometimes I didnt have it, comes out great anyway )
Preheat oven to 350 degrees

I use my old fashioned wooden spoon, and my muscles, and this cake comes out wonderful every time !

Have the butter at room temp, or melt in microwave, add the 2 cups of sugar, beat until creamy, then add one egg at a time, until tit's all mixed up. Now you add the milk- stir it up !

Now put all the dry ingredients into another bowl. Stir all the dry ingredients together...

Begin adding the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients; add some then stir so, on and so on until all is incorporated.

Pour into a 9 by 13 pan, or two 8, or 9 inch round cake pans.
Put in the center of the oven , and bake for 25 to 30 mins...
Frost with whatever you like ! Enjoy !

Peace, love ,and light, tishy

I agree that you should avoid chocolate and strawberries because of the allergies so many people have. But a good white cake, with a light lemon frosting is another matter.

Good luck!

I'd stay away from chocolate, nuts and strawberries, since those are common allergies.
