Do you sometimes get a sharp pain in your chest, like it hurts to breathe? I get that sometimes and I went to my doctor about it and she told me that it's a condition called Costochondritis (sp?) It's basically a swelling of the muscle and tissue around the ribs, not the heart even though that's what it feels like!, and no one is really sure what causes it but she said it isn't anything serious and as I get older it will probably go away. She said that sometimes it's called "rib stitches" but costochondritis is the medical term for it. It's scary when I feel it because my grandpa died of a heart attack so I start to panic. I'm only 26 but it's scary! I'd go to your doc and get a check up anyway. I'm thinking about getting a second opinion if for nothing else but peace of mind. I've heard over and over again that heart problems are the leading cause of death in women and I want to know if something is wrong asap!!! Good luck!

No, I know just what they mean, and its nothing CRAZY! Just because you never felt it, doesn't mean its not a real thing. Anyway, it is an itch. Like a feeling of a tag on your shirt scratching your back and you have to itch it. That's the feeling but inside your chest where your heart is! And if you scratch the skin, its useless. Its INSIDE. I am going to my doctor about it, and I would advise you. But yes I know the feeling and its annoying. If anyone knows the cause, please let us know. I will see my doctor but if someone knows before then I would like any opinions, except moronic ones. Thanks

What do you mean by "itches"? Are you experiencing palpitations or shooting pains? Either way, if you are concerned enough about it, you should see your doctor right away. It may be nothing but, it is always better to be safe than sorry.

How do you know if your heart itches? I have no clue, maybe nothing, but just get checked out soon.

You have to make sure what it is really. If it's your heart you need psychological help, but if it's your nipple. . .

You might have an arrhythmia. Get a check-up and an ultrasound.
