There is no therapeutic effect of Scope, mainly just asthetic (looks & smell) The claims are correct, it does prevent the bad breath germs, but temporarily, the germs are strong suckers, so just mouth wash won't kill 'em all! Brushing and flossing disturbs the habitats of the bacteria, which prevents them from multiplying and giving you bad breath. What really works to rid of stinky breath is a tongue scraper, it gets into all the crevises that harbor left over food, in your tongue which can cause bad breath! Try that. If you want a theraputic effect out of a mouthwash, try ACT, it has fluoride in it, it's like a vitamin for your teeth it helps prevent cavities and sensitivity. Good Luck!!

the best way to prevent cavities is to brush every night and every morning, floss at least once a day, and dont eat foods such as hard candy because it keeps the sugar on your teeth a long time.

I'd go with something like ACT- it helps with loosening up stuff between your teeth before you floss. It's not just for killing bad breath like scope products.

Basically its supposed to kill tons of germs that cause gingivitis and bad breath. It wipes them out before they have a chance to breath or grow inside your gums.

Technically those germs can cause plaque which form cavities. But basically it doesn't specifically do that.

Listerine is better in my opinion.

Ask a dentist, they'll tell you definitively.

The ones that say anti-septic are germ killers. They help along with brushing.

I don't think so. Toothpaste is what has the ingredient Flouride in it to keep your teeth clean and strong.
