sebaceous cyst is caused by ingrown hair and bacteria. If the doctor had removed the cyst down to the root and did a good job cleaning it out, you shouldn't have any problem with it coming back. Although, you can always get it somewhere else.

I had one on the side of my face and had it removed. It came back and I had it removed again. That was 15 years ago and no sign of it again.
